The First Female Silambam trainer, Mrs. Priya Gopinath, is recognized worldwide on youtube ,instagram and other various digital platforms for her mastery in Silambam, Kuthuvarisai, and Tamil Martial Arts. Her influence extends beyond social media to martial arts communities, cultural organizations, and international audiences. She inspires women and martial arts enthusiasts across the globe, combining the elegance of traditional forms with practical self-defense techniques.

Coming from a Silambam Family with over 350 years of warrior heritage, she preserves and teaches Tamil Martial Arts like Silambam, Kuthuvarisai, Varmakalai, and traditional self-defense disciplines passed down through generations.

Unlike performers who focus only on shows or competitions, the First Female Silambam trainer has mastered real combat applications, fighting techniques, and practical self-defense methods rooted in authentic battlefield martial traditions.

She is an International Silambam Gold Medalist in silambam, a National Referee, and Co-Founder of Mighty Martial Arts Academy. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and previously worked in IT before dedicating her life to martial arts education and cultural preservation.

While many women pause or discontinue martial arts after marriage or childbirth, Mrs. Priya Gopinath broke stereotypes. Her journey led to Gold Medals in Surul Vaal (Metal Bladed Whip) and Group Events at the World Silambam Championship 2019 in Malaysia.
