What should you expect from yourself as a student or a parent of a student?

A positive student will follow his/her Aasaan (Guru) proudly, with trust, focused on self-improvement and mental growth. If you feel that the teacher is a real teacher then give up your own ideas and learn. Your mental approach to training will have a large impact on you as a martial artist. A student with a negative approach tends to second guess why the teacher gives a specific practice. This attitude becomes an obstacle that may cause a student to become frustrated or to put only a small percentage of power into his/her techniques. What you get out of your training is directly related to what you put into your training. Continued practice and experience can lead to increased learning and greater success. Harder the training, more the achievement will be.

As a student, or parent to a student of Mighty Martial Arts Academy, all we ask is that you willingly give your best self inside and outside of training area, so that you can feel the benefits of our Martial Arts programs in your own life and experience Martial Arts as a way of life as it positively impacts every area of your life.

Do you offer martial arts training for differently abled children / special children / learning impaired?

It’s not likely to happen. The ultimate aim of Martial Arts that we teach here is to protect our body and not to damage it. Safety is our priority. Martial Arts is a contact activity, bumps and bruises do happen. We always make sure that everyone is being responsible, and is under strict guidance to minimise the risk of injuries at all times.

Yes, our students participate at District, State, National & International Tournaments.

Are tournaments / competitions compulsory?

Tournament or competition is not compulsory. We will notify the students about tournaments at different locations. Participation in tournaments is optional for students and only students who are interested can participate. If a student wishes to participate in a tournament, we will ensure that the student is well prepared. In our view, tournaments are important as it helps the students in developing their technical skills; it acts as the platform to test ones strength, confidence and energy developed by training. Tournaments and competitions help to identify the talents and it is one of the parts of selecting a disciple.

All Martial Arts are same. Only the method of teaching and way of expressions are different. Martial Arts synchronises our body, mind and spirit. Martial Arts can be practiced as an art, self defense or as a combat sport. Self defense training are not Martial Arts.
